As we all know AMD Ryzen processors are really good overclockers. This allows them to perform at the highest level, and compete with new processors in the market. Similarly, the AMD Ryzen 3 3100 also holds the ability to overclock at high clock speed. An overclocker TSAIK exactly did that with LN2 supplies, and took the clock speeds to a whole new level.
TSAIK overclocked the AMD Ryzen 3 3100 to almost 6 GHz (5923.62Mhz). He did that with a base clock of 99.98 MHz and the multiplier set to 59.25. In order to keep the overclock steady, TSAIK managed to pass 1.45V through an MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi motherboard. Apart from the overclock, he was just using a single 8GB stick of DDR4 Memory, running at 1,600 Mhz.
This overclock of 5.9 GHz comes close to the current world record, which is 6.041 GHz on Ryzen 9 3950x. That record was also set by TSAIK, on an MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE Motherboard.
AMD Ryzen 3 3100 is currently priced at $99 only. It features 4 Cores and 8 Threads, along with that it has a base clock of 3.6 GHz. The processor boost clock featured 3.9 GHz while requiring a minimum TDP of 65W only. The overclocking capability puts it ahead of its rival Core i3-10300, which is also slightly expensive at $122 US.
