BlackCatGame Studio, a one-man studio, is currently working on a fan remake ARX Fatalis in Unreal Engine 4. This fan remake will support real-time ray tracing and DirectX 12, and the modder also released two videos showing graphics of this latest fan remake.

In case you weren’t aware of ARX Fatalis, it is a hugely ambitious open world game that came out November 12th, 2002 and was developed by Arkane Studios. The game uses a first-person perspective. Today, the game is very dated due to the slow rendering processing power and poor graphics. The game ultimately was a flop and fans of the game were unable to enjoy any additional content. However, one modder decided to make a remastered version of the game.

Moreover, this project is attracting the attention of executives in the gaming industry. Also, the co-founder of the Arkane Studios, Raphael Colantonio, says that this remastered version is “mind-blowing”.
