In April we reported that Blizzard was canceling their major yearly event BlizzCon. The event was canceled for the third time since 2015, and this year it was canceled due to COVID-19. Well, like Gamescom and many other events that have been forced to go Digital this year. BlizzCon is now also going Digital, and according to Blizzard’s President Allen Brack, the event will happen early next year.
“We are planning on channeling the spirit of BlizzCon into a virtual event in the early part of next year,” Brack said during the call’s Q&A session. “We’re really fortunate to have a passionate and engaged community that’s really looking forward to what we’re creating and what we’re working on. And we’re looking forward to sharing what the teams have been working on for that event.”
He also said that the digital event will be “channeling the spirit of BlizzCon” and along with that they are “looking forward to sharing what the teams have been working on for that event”.
Lastly, recent BlizzCon events have all been circled around a virtual ticket system that benefits the fans or viewers with giveaways and many more things. We didn’t hear anything about that, however, it is still early to get any info about that. Anyway, start saving and if you want to get access to many features of the event.
