Valve Index VR Kit has been on the Headlines over the past few weeks now. The VR kit sold out pretty quick and re-stock took some months. Afterward, it went out of stock again, despite Half-Life: Alyx not even being released. Valve explained that they did not expect so much demand, and at one point it was out of stock all over the world. A week ago it was re-stocked but Valve wrote that due to Coronavirus, restock can take 8 weeks.
HTC Vive Cosmos is here for Rescue
HTC looks forward to filling the gap created by Valve. They have released their new VR Headset called HTC Vive Cosmos Elite. The Headset will ship with Half-life: Alyx so here is another way to get a VR kit and the game. HTC Vive Cosmos Elite comes with a 1440 x 1700 dual LCD Panels and Vive Controllers. This package will cost you $899, which is quite fair.
Furthermore, HTC officials wrote that they are pretty excited about the revival of VR after Half-Life: Alyx was announced. In a statement Yves Maitre, HTC CEO said: “With Half-Life: Alyx, we believe Valve is delivering the experience and expertise to move VR gameplay forward.”
After Valve announced that Index VR Headset will be re-stocked in 8 weeks’ time. This is your last chance to get a VR Headset before Half-Life: Alyx releases. Furthermore, HTC Vive Cosmos Elite has a stable stock all over the world, but who knows how long it’ll take once it goes out of stock. The Coronavirus outbreak has burst all factories and manufacturers all over the world.
Customers who pre-order the HTC Vive Cosmos Elite will get a special code, that will redeem Half-Life: Alyx on March 23.
Valve Index VR will be back on March 9 for a limited time.
