Recently Announced Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Trailer is now banned in China because it shows the footage of Tiananmen Square.

In case you didn’t know, there was a protest in 1989 In Tiananmen, in which dozens of Students and Civilians were killed. The whole protest turned into a massacre, and it is one of the darkest events in Chinese History. The Chinese Government has always been very insecure about it and never allowed anyone to speak about it.

According to a report, Activision apparently released a trailer at first, that featured footage of Tiananmen Square. However, the trailer was later replaced by a new one which is apparently different. Here is that original trailer, and that picture from 1:05, that shows thee students protesting.

Tiananmen Square

The newer trailer was different and was released two days later. Activision did this in such a fashion that no one noticed. Of course, they didn’t talk about it, until this report came forward and gave us this insight.
