Call of Duty Warzone Duo Mode?

We have heard a lot about the on-going Call of Duty Warzone Duo issue. The community really wants it, however Infinity Ward is facing some problems.

In an interview with French Site GamerGen, Amos Hodge, creative director at Raven Software shared his remarks. According to Amos, they had duos in Pillage, however it had various bugs that needed fixing. Along that, he shared the sequence saying

“we launched Warzone with only the Trios, then we added the Solo and then the Quartets, so we will add the Duos in the future. I can’t give you an exact date at the moment, but the Duos are coming. “

Apart from Amos Hodge, Taylor Kurosaki was also there, who is currently a narrative director at Infinity Ward. Taylor said that developers added Quartets mode, and fans were unhappy because trio mode was replaced.

Infinity Ward listened to their criticism and added trio mode back. Afterward, the opposite happened and the company was criticized for removing Quartets. The point being that, everyone wants to play different modes, but COD needs to have a balance.

“Everyone wants to play the game in a slightly different way, which is really cool and exciting, so we’re trying to figure out what the standard modes are and which modes temporarily work better. “

The two representatives also answered various questions that included Warzone is not getting Fortnite events. They also talked about the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X support “I know our plan is that Warzone will be around for a while, so as soon as these new systems are released and available, I’m sure we will support them.”

They also explained the Call of Duty trio crisis, when the mode was removed twice, and brought back twice. Amos said that they spin different modes and add new content. Their main goal is to keep players engage, and avoid game being redundant.

“We are trying to find this balance between the main modes and what we can rotate. When we introduce a new mode, we really want to listen to the community.”

Released in March, Call of Duty Warzone had 15 million players in three days, and then it advanced to 30 million. A few weeks ago, Infinity Ward reported that the game now has 50 million players. Similarly, the game has also banned 50,000 cheaters in just 20 days.
