Dirt 5 announcement is finally here, and the game has gotten a trailer as well. It was announced during the Xbox Game announcements, and likewise it’ll come to PC as well. Dirt 5 is being developed and published by Codemasters. It looks excellent, there is a lot of Dirt 2 and Dirt 3 feeling to it. The game will feature 70+ unique routes across the world and vehicles ranging from cars to trucks.
“Get behind the wheel of an eclectic and exciting roster of cars. Conquer the toughest of terrain with boulder-beating machines, take iconic rally cars to new locations, or feel the power of 900bhp sprint cars. Rally cross, GT, trophy trucks, buggies muscle cars complete the ultimate off-road garage.”
Along with that, the game map is stretched from East River in New York to Chris the Redeemer in Brazil, and at last till Norway. The game will also have four-player split-screen, in both arcade and career mode. In online, you can play with up to 12 players, and Local split-screen for four players is also added.
The story mode is also exciting, as Troy Baker and Nolan North will head up the cast. Players will start from small races, and them move on to world championships. As they get popular, they will also get the opportunity to earn sponsors and unique rewards.
“As a studio, we are big fans of DiRT 2 and 3? Robert Karp, DIRT 5 Development Director at Codemasters, says. “This game is our homage: a bigger, amplified DIRT off-road experience in a setting that is alive, challenging and fun.
“Whether you want to compete against the AI on some of the world’s most challenging environments or play a four-player split-screen game with your friends, DIRT 5 has you covered.”
The game is available on Steam for Pre-Purchase. There are two versions, the normal one costs $20, while the DIRT 5 Amplified Edition costs $26. It is scheduled to release this year in October.
