A few days ago, Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most anticipated games of 2020 was delayed, and now Dying Light 2 is also getting delayed. According to Techland, the game was supposed to be released in Spring, however, it is not done yet, and more time is needed

“We will have more details to share in the coming months,” the update continued, “and will get back to you as soon as we have more information. We apologise for this unwelcome news. Our priority is to deliver an experience that lives up to our own high standards and to the expectations of you, our fans.”

Dying Light 2 is an upcoming survival horror action role-playing game developed by Techland and published by Square Enix. The game will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is the sequel to 2015’s Dying Light.

Well, I am happy that it is being delayed, because now developers will get more time to optimize it. Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in a rush and the game was badly optimized. It received constant updates until 2 months to sort out basic things that went wrong. I’m thinking that CD Projekt Red & Techland have taken a lesson from it. Let’s see if an actual date is announced by Techland for Dying Light 2.
