The Unjust Killing of George Floyd proved to be a very fatal decision for the Cops in the United States. The City had widespread Protests, and likewise, we saw massive delays and suspensions in the gaming industry. Moreover, Gaming Companies are also gathering funds and raising awareness against Goerge’s unjust killing.
Similarly today, we have news that Fortnite has now removed the police cars from the game. Cop cars are now removed, and they are replaced by normal cars. According to Wall Street Journal, Epic Games removed the cars in response to the death of George Floyd. Thus, they are supporting the #BlackLivesMatter Campaign.
Very Recently, Epic Games also delayed Fortnite’s new season. “We need to balance the Season 3 launch with time for the team to focus on themselves, their families, and their communities,” the announcement read. Presumably this brief delay also gave Epic time to remove police cars.
The death of George Floyd has caused massive protests across the U.S. A lot of shops, roads, and cities are filled with havoc. Yesterday, Infinity Ward announced that they will be delaying the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Warzone, and COD: Mobile Upcoming Season’s. Similarly, CD Projekt Announced that Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire event is being postponed to 25th June. And lastly, the major PS5 Event which was very anticipated was also canceled. In the coming days, we can expect new dates for all of these cancelled events. So far things are not getting better, and we might end up seeing most of these events next month.
