Epic Games Store is now looking forward to introducing an app that will allow developers to expand their audience. The app according to the CEO of Epic Games Store will be a store and distributing platform for Fortnite.

“We’d like to bring the [Epic Games] Store to iOS in the future, and we will bring it to Android,” said Sweeney. “We think it’s a good way to help the industry [move] forward and it’s another way where Epic as a game developer had built up this audience around Fortnite and learned how to operate a distribution platform on PC and Android.”

“Now, as we’ve done with many things from the Unreal Engine to the Epic Online services, we open it up to all other developers to use with their games and are trying to serve the industry and provide a really interesting alternative to the ecosystem,” he added.

Of course, this is not the first time Tim Sweeney wanted to expand his platform on Mobile Devices. In 2018, he told Game Informer that they look forward to bringing Epic Games Store to “PC and Mac in 2018, and Android later in 2019”. Later followed up by IOS.

Lastly, Fortnite received an update for Android devices in 2019. The platform where Fortnite was available has now changed to a global Launcher for Epic Games Store. On the other hand, there are no updates on IOS, so we look forward to that.

Epic Games Store is currently giving away Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. Further, they also introduced local pricing for five countries.
