This is the first time a TikTok Event-related to Esports is happening. The event which will feature a prize pool of $60,000 is going to have four different games. These include Fortnite, League of Legends, Rocket League, and CS:GO.

The Tournament is open to students specifically. Anyone, who is enrolled at a university or college in the US can participate.

“The TikTok Cup consists of eight individual online tournaments. The tournaments are open to students currently enrolled at an accredited university or college in the US. All tournaments are team-based, and teams must be made up wholly of students enrolled at the same school. Tournament schedule and additional eligibility requirements, caps on registration, software, and account requirements, differ based on game title.”

The tournament will feature live stream broadcasts and a lot of giveaways, so don’t forget to note the dates.

Fortnite qualifier #1 will start from May 9 on 12:00 PM PT. The second Fortnite qualifiers will start on Saturday, May 16. Prizes for Fortnite are $2000 for winner. Runnerup gets $1,000 and 3rd/4th place players will get $500. There is also prize for 5-8th, as they will get 2x 100 gift cards.

League of Legends tournament will also happen on the same date as Fortnite. However, the prize pool is much more. $5000 for 1st place, $2,500 for runnerup, and $1,250 for 3rd/4th place. “Registration for the tournaments taking place on May 9 and 10 begins on April 27, 2020 at 9:00 AM ET. Registration for the tournaments taking place on May 16 and 17 begins on May 11, 2020 at 9:00 AM ET for League of Legends, or when registration for the preceding tournament for the same game title closes.”
