Epic has just announced that Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 will be delayed. According to Epic, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 that was scheduled for April 30, is now delayed till June 4 for now. Season 3 is an extension of Season 2 with more features and a variety of new content.

No cause of delay has been shared yet, but its very likely that it was delayed by the COVID-19. The pandemic has forced all workers to work remotely that causes disturbances in workflow. Hence, Fortnite Chapter 2 season 3 might have faced slow progress and Epic had decided to delay it.
