In an interview with GameSpot, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said that during all these years In the Gaming Industry. The Next-Gen Consoles are probably the biggest “leap” In the Industry. Randy appreciated both Xbox Series X And PS5, saying that customers are yet to see the difference between old and new-gen consoles. He continued saying “it’s just absolutely unreal”.

While this statement may be a bit controversial because everybody thinks 2D to 3D was the biggest Leap. Randy obviously has been around the Industry more than we think. He founded Gearbox Studio and has seen things we haven’t. In his statement, Randy acknowledged the 2D to 3D Leap, and still stuck with his opinion.

I think customers will realize how profound of a difference it is to have the throughput capability that these new platforms bring. It’s just absolutely unreal. The leap there with PS5 and Xbox Series X is the biggest leap I have ever seen in the history of console generations.” He wrote. “I’m saying, including the leap from 2D to 3D.”

I think his statement is spot on. The Xbox Series X and PS5 feature Incredible specifications, and some new technologies that we weren’t aware of before. Other than this, it features an excellent price point of just $499.99. If you compare the Series X and PS5 specifications to PC, you will end up with a $1500 Gaming PC.
