Revealed very recently, Ghost of Tsushima has taken the internet by storm. The game which ran at 4K on PS4 captured the minds of many gamers. Ghost of Tsushima looked like a mix of Assassin’s Creed and Witcher Games.
In a new update, developer Sucker Punch says that the game combat is difficult. This statement is particularly an answer to those, who thought that the game combat is easy and simple. The gameplay video revealed featured an experienced player who easily cut off everyone. However, it won’t be that easy for everyone else, revealed Sucker Punch.
“We are trying to make a grounded game in that sense, so a couple blows from the enemy will kill you,” game director Nate Fox told IGN. “The game is very challenging.”
Fox said that Sucker Punch likes to describe the game’s combat in three words: mud, blood and steel. “We absolutely honor the lethality of the sword,” he explained.
“We watched samurai movies and people go down with one or two strikes, and that is embedded inside of the combat. Beating the Mongols in battle will be hard, but it’s that challenge that makes it feel alive and the victory rewarding. You can’t just run into a camp and fight five people at the same time, you will get overwhelmed and die.”
Since Ghost of Tsushima is based upon Japanese Samurais. There is a clear duel when two experienced Samurais go head to head against each other. Sucker Punch wanted to reveal that, but they missed.
“One thing we didn’t show at State of Play which I wish we had, was that the game features duels against other expert swordsman,”
Ghost of Tsushima is set to release this year on PlayStation 4. It’ll be the last PlayStation 4 exclusive. No Confirmation from Sony about weather Ghost of Tsushima will join PlayStation 5 has been confirmed. However, it is very likely. The game was delayed due to COVID-19, and now it is scheduled to release on July 17, 2020.
