Ghost of Tsushima is one of the most anticipated games of this year. The game is being developed by Sucker Punch Productions, who are known for their works with Infamous games. The game was first revealed during Sony’s Paris Game Week press conference. Afterward, a demo was played during E3 2018, after which it became the center of attention.
In a new update, Ghost of Tsushima Creative Director Nate Fox said that the game will have up to 50 hours of story. Furthermore, it’ll also depend on the player, so it might feature between 30-50 hours of gameplay.
“I would highly recommend that everyone get off the main route and get lost on Tsushima Island, there is a lot to discover there,” he said.
Moreover, the game will also have the biggest world-to-date. I’d love to have a comparison between the size of Ghost of Tsushima world and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Map. AC Vallhalla will have a really huge map, and according to Ubisoft it’ll also be bigger than Odyseyys’
“Tsushima Island covers the biomes you can find on mainland Japan, from snowy mountains to bamboo forests, to waterfalls and rolling grasslands, it’s all there,” said Fox. “We want to give enough stuff to keep it electrifying for the player. Sucker Punch to IGN
“We didn’t want to make a huge map and have nothing on it. So it’s packed with people, items, and stories to explore.”
Ghost of Tsushima is set to release this year on PlayStation 4. It’ll be the last PlayStation 4 exclusive. No Confirmation from Sony about weather Ghost of Tsushima will join PlayStation 5 has been confirmed. However, it is very likely. The game was delayed due to COVID-19, and now it is scheduled to release on July 17, 2020.
