Previously Grand Theft Auto 4 was removed from Steam, because of Windows live. Rockstar has now confirmed that the game will be going under some changes before coming back to Steam on March 19th.
PLEASE NOTE: Microsoft no longer supports creating Games for Windows-LIVE accounts within Grand Theft Auto IV. You can create an account through account.xbox.com and then log into your account in game.
Multiplayer will also no longer be available starting March 19th, 2020.
The game will return but it has some major changes coming as well. Firstly, Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City will be replaced by Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition. Players who already own a copy of the game will get a replacement or update, with a new edition in the coming month. Furthermore, Rockstar also announced that current save files will be supported by Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition.
Since GTA 4 is old, and there are a lot of license renewal things. Rockstar says that some Radio Stations will be removed temporarily. These include RamJam FM, Self-Actualization FM, and Vice City FM. The major removal includes Multiplayer mode and leaderboards. Players won’t be able to play multiplayer GTA 4 again.
We have seen a lot of games getting their ratio stations removed because of copyright and contract expiration. We have also seen Rockstar expanding its GTA V Radio stations recently. Despite all these changes, Its still pretty cool that GTA 4 is returning to Steam.
