We wrote about the Humble Conquer COVID-19 Bundle that had tons of games and Audiobooks in an incredible price. Another good thing about the Bundle was that all earnings from it went straight to COVID-19 Relief Funds. In the same article, we also talked about some people donating tens and thousands of money for this good cause.
Humble Store wrote, “In the wake of COVID-19 and its effects around the world, we’ve teamed up with a team of developers, publishers, and creators to bundle a care package of much-needed funds to support organizations responding to the pandemic and its consequences”.
Today, the game store wrote that more than $6,565,557 were raised and more than 208,527 Bundle were sold. The $6.5 million amount went to Direct Relief, International Rescue Committee, Doctors Without Borders, and Partners In Health. These organizations further donated to hospitals, or bought safety equipment and donated them to various communities. Overall, they are doing good work and should be appreciated.
The Game Store has thanked all its buyers and donators who helped them raise such amount. Along with that, the companies working for Coronavirus Relief have also shared their remarks. Here is one from International Rescue Committee
“Through the generous partnership with Humble Bundle and its customers, resources from the Conquer COVID-19 Bundle will help support the International Rescue Committee’s (IRC) work to support vulnerable populations that are being hardest hit by this outbreak. IRC teams are on the ground in over 40 countries working around the clock to help rapidly detect, respond, and prevent further spread of the disease through activities such as training its frontline staff on proper infection prevention and control, distributing essential hygiene and Personal Protection Equipment supplies, and providing lifesaving information to refugees and displaced persons on where to get help.”
