Mafia: Definitive Edition, which was announced alongside Mafia 2 and Mafia 3: Definitive Edition is going to be delayed. The first game’s remake from Hanger 13 and 2K will now release on September 25. In a post, 2K and Hanger 13 explained, that the launch has become increasingly challenging due to COVID-19.

“From the beginning, this has been a passion project for us. Many of our developers helped create the original Mafia, and all of us are committed to crafting an updated experience worthy of that timeless classic,” they wrote on Twitter. “We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make Mafia: Definitive Edition the very best it can be for all our fans worldwide.”

Moreover, 2K and Hanger 13 said that the game will get an extended look in just two weeks on July 22. Very recently, 2K released a 15-second clip of the game, that looked phenomenal.

Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 Definitive Editions were not so good. That is to say, they were full of bugs and the overall remake was really poor. Graphics were not improved, and fans noticed that majority of graphical issues with Mafia 3 like no mirror reflection were not given any importance. The game has consistently become a topic worth discussing, and the original Mafia game’s reputation has also been sadly affected.
