Yesterday, we heard that Mafia: Trilogy was being sold on PS4 Store for $60. The bundle included all three mafia games, and in AUD it was $100. Moreover, the package also said that Mafia: Definitive Edition will be available in August, so you can’t play it for time being. Well, on the same day later, Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 Definitive Edition packs were also available separately for $30 Each (AUD).

Today. Mafia 2: Definitive Edition and Mafia 3: Definitive Edition has been officially released on Steam. The game trailers and gameplay are also revealed.

Starting off with Mafia 3, well there is not a lot to it. Since the game was released very recently, it does not have a lot of improvements. If you owned Mafia 3 old version, you will automatically get an update for Mafia 3: Definitive Edition completely free. The game comes with all DLC”s, and bonus packs.

Mafia III: Definitive Edition includes the main game, all Story DLC (Faster, Baby!, Stones Unturned, Sign of the Times) and Bonus Packs (Family Kick-Back Pack and Judge, Jury & Executioner Weapons Pack) bundled in one place for the first time.”

Mafia 2: Definitive Edition has some improvements, particularly because of how old it is. The game has gotten a remaster, and it is done by Hanger 13. I wished 2K Czech were given back the project because they did an incredible job. Moreover, if you owned the Mafia 2 Base version, you will get the free update. Similarly, Mafia 2: Definitive Edition features 4K resolution and there are more HD objects added to it. Moreover, all the DLC’s are also included. If you buy it, you will also get a Vito Leather Jacket.

“Remastered in stunning HD detail, live the life of a gangster during the Golden-era of organized crime. War hero Vito Scaletta becomes entangled with the mob in hopes of paying his father’s debts. Alongside his buddy Joe, Vito works to prove himself, climbing the family ladder with crimes of larger reward, status and consequence.”

Mafia 2 looks a bit more enhanced than Mafia 3. However, if you will ask me, I’d say the graphics are very similar to the original game. Yes I know it is a remaster, and you cant expect a lot. But still looking at it, does not impress me. Looking at all the technologies and new games, I think Hanger 13 should have done a better job with Mafia 2: Definitive Edition.
