Gaming in Pakistan has always been crucial for the prodigy gamers. The lack of national and international support for gaming in Pakistan had always been the problem for the local E-sports community and players as well.
Previously, Organizations like Gamebird (Sponsored By Telenor) took the local gaming scene of Pakistan to the next level by introducing a ground-breaking Tournament of E-sports with a Prize Pool Of 1 Million PKR, with that being said some other organizations like Portal and IGEN Gaming have been working for the Pakistani E-Sports scene with all of the efforts they can to make a name for Pakistan’s Esports community internationally. These organizations gave us a light down the hill and local gamers picked up the hope and the end result is quite fruitful.
This week, Mountain Dew announced a major E-Sports tournament event for Pakistan. The tournament is bigger than ever and it is being organized by international organizations like ESL and Nodwin Gaming.
The event’s launch event was arranged in Royal Palm, Lahore Pakistan. The launch event was quite fancy and it seems like a bunch of Celebrities and local Professional gamers were invited to the event, making it a successful one as well. The initial phases of the tournament exhibit a very positive vibe to it and it looks like the event is going to leave a mark in the history of Esports of Pakistan. The tournament will carry on-ground qualifier rounds in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad while also spreading out to online participants. Top gamers from Pakistan will battle against each other in Dota 2 and CS:GO for the title of being the best in the country.
The prize pool of Dew Gamers Arena is 1 Million PKR as well, just like Gamebird. But from the Initial looks of the event, it seems like Dew Gamers Arena is going to be one of the top E-Sports Tournaments ever held in the history of Pakistan.
