Nintendo Switch is getting its fair share of releases along with other platforms in 2019. There are a few upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch including some ports from other platforms. Anyways, let’s get right into this.

Here are our top 5 picks of upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch in 2019.Fire Emblem: Three Houses

1. Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Nintendo Switch

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is an upcoming tactical role-playing game. The Fire Emblem series has been going on for a very long time now. However, Fire Emblem: Three Houses focuses on four main protagonists called Byleth, Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude. You can free-roam and interact with other players to form a relationship like in any other RPG. After Intelligent System added the free-roam feature in Fire Emblem Echoes, it immediately grew on the players. So, they are bringing it back in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

However, Nintendo has gone silent after the trailer. Moreover, everyone has high hopes for the game and so do we.

The trailer of the game can be seen below.

2. Trials Rising

Release: February 12, 2019
Platforms: Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4

Trials Rising is a 2.5D multiplayer physics-based racing game. In Trials Rising you play on challenging maps with wobbly physics against other players. Trials Rising takes all the elements of the previous games and massively upgrades it with different maps, optimized controls, excellent graphics, and some more extra features. This is going to be the first release of Trials on the Nintendo Switch.

I think trials’ games have always been fun, and I don’t think anything can go wrong with them.

The 9-minute gameplay video can be seen below.

3. Saints Row: The Third

Release: 2019
Platform: Nintendo Switch

Saints Row: The Third was released on November 15, 2011, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Now, Nintendo has announced that they will be released Saints Row: The Third for the Nintendo Switch somewhere in 2019. Nevertheless, This is great news for Grand Theft Auto series fans because there hasn’t been a single GTA game on the Nintendo Switch. Saints Row: The Third was a massive hit upon release and has got favorable reviews. The game will be released with all of the DLC included.

I am a huge fan of the Saints Row series, and I think this is an excellent move from Volition and Nintendo Switch users will have a lot of fun with the game.

You can see Saints Row: The Third’s trailer below. However, the gameplay in the trailer is not from Nintendo Switch.

4. Vampyr

Release: TBA 2019
Nintendo Switch

Vampyr is a gothic action-roleplaying game which takes place in the flu-ridden London. The Protagonist Jonathan Reid gets attacked, and when he wakes up, he turns into a bloodthirsty vampire. Upon release, the game was being supported so substantially, that it gave the developer another reason to port it to the Nintendo Switch. The information about Vampyr coming to the Nintendo Switch was revealed through the Focus Home Interactive earnings report.

Since the game was supported so much on other platforms, I don’t think that there will be a possibility of failure.

Check out the trailer of Vampyr below.

5. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

Release: January 18, 2019
Platform: Nintendo Switch

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is an upcoming action-adventure video game planned to be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The Protagonist Travis Touchdown goes into a video game console, where he faces a series of challenges, puzzles, and races. He must go through seven different video game titles to complete the game. But, at the end of each title, there is a boss, and it will not be so easy to beat him. In the game, there are seven different death balls which you collect, and if you collect all seven you can have one wish, and it will be granted.

The features of this game are exciting. The one that intrigues me the most is the death ball feature; it reminds me of Dragon Balls from the Dragon Ball series. Nonetheless, the game looks cool, and it will be released early in 2019, so let’s see.

The 15-Minute gameplay from IGN can be seen below.

All of these titles look promising, and we are hoping to see them all in 2019. If you want to see more upcoming games on other platforms click here.
