Some strong rumors covered up the market recently exhibiting that a mobile variant of the newly announced Nvidia Geforce RTX 20 Series might be coming to some gaming laptops in future.
The rumors arose from wccftech.com, which found the Device ID consisting alphanumeric based code “Turing TU104M: 1eab” listed on Github. The report says that the Device ID processor is related to the “Geforce RTX 2080 Mobile”, which makes a reason of the “M” being there as the probability of a mobile variant.
If the rumors are correct, then this is a very good news for the mobile gamers who like to have that same premium desktop experience with the mobility advantage as well. Gamers aren’t going to miss out on the new RTX 20 series.
Further information given by the rumor is that the RTX 2080 Mobile GPU is going to use the Max-Q Chipset design, which will allow the GPUs to be housed in thin laptops.
However, don’t get excited too much, as there hasn’t been an official legitimate announcement from NVIDIA yet, the final details are scattered – and not in terms of price, but also for release date and pricing.
Once we do find out the official announcement from Nvidia, we’ll surely keep you updated.
