The rumors have been going around about the release of Nvidia’s RTX 2060. However, it has been confirmed by an editor of Hardwareluxx named Andreas Schilling that RTX 2060 marketing materials have been sent to various manufacturers. Furthermore, he pointed to stay tuned for the second week of January which could mean several things. One being that RTX 2060 will release on the second week of January or that more updates will release regarding 2060. He posted several RTX 2060 logos as well.
#GeForceRTX2060 for desktop is real! (For those who still had doubts) Marketing material for the smallest #Turing expansion is arriving at the manufacturers marketing divisions. Beside 6 GB of #GDDR6 I can not confirm any tech specs. Stay tuned for the second week of January! pic.twitter.com/xaorlA6JLd

Andreas Schilling also confirmed that Nvidia’s RTX 2060 will come equipped with 6GB of GDDR6 memory. Sadly, he didn’t reveal any other specifications of the GPU. However, It has been rumored that it is only six percent less powerful than GTX 1070. Nvidia could have made an extremely powerful card, but it would have resulted in killing off the GTX series which would be bad for their revenue.
According to VideoCardz, there have been some rumors that RTX 2060 contains TU106 GPU with 1920 CUDA cores within 30 SMs (streaming multiprocessors). This suggests that it would contain 30 RT cores and 240 Tensor cores.
Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 2060 will be the budget card of the RTX series, but for now, we can’t tell you the price precisely because the cost of the RTX 2060 has not been confirmed yet. Anyways, now we have to sit back and wait, and if any news comes out, we will keep you updated.
