Well, we have seen a lot of streamers drama this past couple of months. First, an ex-faze Streamer was banned after shooting a gun in Livestream. The gun happily did not hurt anyone, however, Twitch with their policies did not approve of this. Afterward, a female popular streamer joked about Coronavirus patients, saying “old people deserve to die”. She was also treated with a ban, and things keep going.
Overwatch ESports Player fined for joking about “big dicks”
Similarly, today an Overwatch ESports player is being fined for $3000 by Blizzard. The Pro Jung-won Mun or “Lastro” talked about “big dicks” in chat, which did not end up well. Along him, another player Dong-jun “Rascal” Kim was also fined for inappropriate talks.
Both players kept talking about sex & big dicks during a professional Overwatch League Match. It first started from Lastro, who wrote “sex”, followed by “big dick”. Afterward, his teammate told him “They can see match chat”, however, both of them did not acknowledge this and kept going. The Spectator also jumped in and questioned them, but they kept laughing and entered dick symbols in chat.
Lastro has come forward and apologized for his actions.
“I thought the viewers could not see the match chat because everyone was typing in it. I wrote it as a joke, although I should not have done it regardless of whether the viewers could see the match chat or not. I will make sure something like this never happens again”
Well stupid stuff happens, and these players certainly had a good time joking about “big dicks”. Overwatch League Player Discipline tracker shows they both were fined, and no more punishments can certainly happen. These folks are lucky, as we have seen how harsh Twitch & Organizations have been about these sorts of stuff in recent months.
