PES 2021 has now gotten a release date. The FIFA series rival game by Konami will this time focus on a different meta. It is being described as “season update”. This means, that the new game is just an upgrade over the previous PES 2020. Therefore, new players, merchandise, and club information are added.

“Experience the most realistic and authentic football game with eFootball PES 2020, winner of the ‘E3 Best Sports Game’ award! Play with the biggest teams in world football, featuring Spanish champions FC Barcelona, global giants Manchester United, German champions FC Bayern München and Italian champions Juventus – who feature exclusively in PES!”

The rest of the game is quite similar to PES 2020. Further, The real EURO 2020 has been pushed to 2021, due to COVID-19. However, the game still has a mode, that will allow you to play the tournament with 55 teams ahead of the next summer. Moreover, Konami’s actual focus is on PES 2022. The PES 2022 is going to be developed under Unreal Engine, therefore a huge upgrade from the previous games. The game is also being set to release next year for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

It seems that PES 2022 is going to be the main project of Konami. Perhaps, this one would seriously rival the top-notch FIFA series. On the other hand, the PES 2020 is now priced at £24.99/€29.99. The price is, to be honest fine, and it looks like PES 2020 is a proper game instead of a DLC. You can pre-order the game from this page. It is set to release across all platforms on September 15.
