I just noticed time has passed so quickly. That is to say, Sony has announced PlayStation Plus will be celebrating its 10th anniversary. The service first released in 2010 has had major success for Sony, and now its time to give something back to the players.
In a blog post, Sony announced that they are thankful to everyone who used PlayStation Plus. Along with that, it also said that they will be giving massive discounts on the games. Likewise, NBA 2K20 and Rise of the Tomb Raider will be completely free on the service for the month of July. Moreover, another game will also join the list. The adventure game Erica will be available during July.
Apart from games, the PlayStation blog also noted that they will be releasing a free PS4 theme later this week. The Theme originally made to celebrate 10 years of PS Plug will be available for a limited time. Lastly, there will be online celebrations through a free multiplayer weekend starting July 14 at 2:01 AM through July 5 at 11:59 PM in your local time.
PlayStation’s Store Services GM Nick Maguire wrote on the PlayStation Blog: “It’s great to see how much PS Plus has grown over the years – starting with the very first PS Plus game offered, WipeOut HD, to offering more than one thousand games to PS Plus members over the last ten years.
“As we walk down memory lane, we’ll leave you with a quick snapshot of PS Plus from this past decade. Thank you again for your continued support and we look forward to celebrating with you!”
