The Coronavirus suspended Football Leagues across the globe. From Bundesliga to Premier League, almost all leagues were suspended, until now. Last month, Bundesliga started again, and the matches were played without fans, because of the COVID-19 threat.
Similarly, the English Premier League is now returning, and EA Sports will help them provide crowd noise. This sounds weird, but here’s out how it works. The Soccer Games are playing without fans, so in order to increase the intensity. Leagues are now using crowd music, that sounds like fans are in the stadium, while they are not.
EA Sports has now agreed to provide crowd noises for Sky Sports, till COVID-19 threat is over.
“In partnership with EA SPORTS FIFA, Sky Sports has created a range of bespoke and team-specific crowd noises and chants to bring the vibrant atmosphere of the Premier League to the restart.” Sky Sports Website
Other Sports games are using papers, and pictures of fans to add a bit of vibrancy to the environment. On the other hand, most Sports are completely suspended and so far it looks like Soccer/Football is one of the few sports games to start during the pandemic.
In Short, The Premier League wil restart on June 17, with Aston Villa vs Shefille United, and Manchester City vs Arsenal as the first two matches. EA Sports will bring their crowd noises to the game, while fans are away.
