An insider, who is known as Dusk Golem got some information through insiders regarding Capcom’s upcoming project Resident Evil 8.

According to the source, the game will feature a first-person typical Resident Evil Story. Furthermore, we will also get to see the return of the previous game’s protagonist, Ethan Winters. Resident Evil 8 is set to release this year. The game has gone through various changes. Hallucinations, Occultism, and insanity have departed from the RE8.
Additionally, the insider claims that Capcom did not want a huge gap between Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 8, however its finally done and everything is finalized. We can expect an announcement in the coming months.
The game was actually known as Revelations 3 throughout the development. It received a lot of time to test and add features, afterward Capcom was confident that it could potentially be Resident Evil 8. Hence, the name was changed.
Lastly, the game was set to be announced in E3. However, it was cancelled for the first time in 25 years due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We have seen Capcom doing brilliant stuff with their latest Resident Evil 2 & 3 remake.
