Samsung has been keen about “lite” versions of their flagships devices for a long time, and these devices indeed have a good share in the market because not every person is enthusiastic about flagship high-end devices and some people just want a new and reliable device to get through their busy day in this technological era of 2018.

Galaxy S8 Lite

New press renders from Weibo of the new upcoming Galaxy S8 Lite have provided us with the best look at the phone’s design. According to the specs and images from TENAA, the Galaxy S8 Lite looks very similar to the Galaxy S8, with Samsung’s “Infinity Display,” Bixby-dedicated button, and the same fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone, below the camera.

Internals show more budget-friendly specs that differ from the original Samsung S8. While the display size is identical to its flagship counterpart at 5.8-inches, the resolution is lower, and tops out at 2220 by 1080 pixels. At the back side of the phone, there’s a 16-megapixel camera, the device packs mediocre amount of performance with the Snapdragon 660 chip compared to the Galaxy S8’s high-end Snapdragon 835 chip, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and a 3,000mAh battery.

Press images show the phone will come in red and black, and there’s no word on when it will officially launch, though many guess it will arrive in China on May 21st.
