Yesterday, Ubisoft announced that they are going to investigate the individuals associated with sexual allegations. This announcement was made after Assassin’s Creed Creative Director Ashraf Ismail decided to step down from the job.
Well today, Ubisoft has given a follow up on the investigations. Two Executives, Tommy Francois and Maxime Beland are suspended. Along with these two notable personalities, a lot of employees have also been asked to leave. The individuals will now be investigated in more depth. Those found guilty will be punished.
“These are under investigation, so we are not commenting further at this time,” Ubisoft told Bloomberg. Tommy Francois’s notable works include Child of Eden, which he developed side by side on a creative Journey with Ubisoft.
On the other hand, Beland was a much famous personality, as he was involved in the development of Splinter Cell Games. Beland worked for a year with Epic Games, recently returning to Ubisoft.
This investigation was primarily started after people started to criticize Ubisoft. The creative director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ashraf Ismail was involved in sexual relationship with a fan. The issue started with Ashraf, who told lied to his girlfriend about marriage.
Ashraf was married, while he kept lying to the fan. This caused a spark on Twitter, and Ashraf left Ubisoft due to uncertain reasons. You can more about that in our report.
