The COVID-19 is all over the world, and it has delayed almost everything. From Football to Games, everything is either suspended or delayed. We recently heard about E3 being suspended for the first time in almost 20 years.
Similarly today, Sony has made an announcement regarding the status of their upcoming movies that include Ghostbusters, Morbius, and Uncharted.
These three movies were set to release this year. However, Sony has decided that Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be delayed to March 5, 2021. Morbius will also be delayed, from July 2020 to March 19, 2021.
The hottest news relates to the Uncharted movie, which is also being delayed to October 8, 2021. The previous release date for Ghostbusters: Afterlife was July 2020, Morbius was set to release in July 2020 as well. Tom Holland’s Uncharted movie was set to release next year in March 2021.
Well, I’m sure the COVID-19 outbreak must have forced all companies to delay their production. In these sorts of circumstances, health always comes first, and nobody would like to risk that for a movie.
Sony Advances in PlayStation 5 Despite COVID-19
Suprised to see Sony facing a delay regarding their movie releases because a few days ago we learned that PlayStation 5 won’t be delayed. In a report by Sony, they said that their factories in China are back to work, and its unlikely PS5 gets delayed. I think their movies being delayed is mainly due to the fact that people are not allowed to go in public. Hence, film shoots would be difficiult.
