Recently, reports from Bloomberg and many other sources spread throughout the Internet, suggesting that Sony had cut production numbers for PlayStation 5. The report suggested that Sony was trying to cut its production number by 50% because of some manufacturing process.

The report from Bloomberg spread across the Internet, and yesterday Sony came forward saying that the report was fake.

“While we do not release details related to manufacturing, the information provided by Bloomberg is false,”

“We have not changed the production number for PlayStation 5 since the start of mass production.”

The original Report suggested that PS5’s system chip, designed by AMD created problems. Although, Sony says that they didn’t cut the production numbers and they have stayed the same. Does this indicate, that Bloomberg’s previous report of PS5 Manufacturing getting doubled at the end of the year was right? Here is a statement from our July 16 article which suggests the number of PS5 being manufactured.

“Bloomberg says that Around 5 Million PlayStation 5’s will be manufactured until September. Afterward, another 5 Million are scheduled for manufacturing, which will be completed somewhere between October and December.”
