In an interview with the Polish website Spider’s Web. Cyberpunk 2077 lead quest designer Pawel Sasko, gave some insights into Cyberpunk’s campaign. According to him, the game has a long campaign. However, in that long campaign, there is always a way to go without killing anyone.
“All the most important choices in the game, all bosses and elite opponents – there is always a way to go without killing anyone,” said Sasko.
“Sometimes aggression and fighting with an opponent is something that can not be avoided,” added Sasko. “It is not that you have to take someone’s legs, arms, but it is also not so that you can completely avoid the fight – but you are able to fight in such a way that you only neutralize your opponents and thus pass the game.”
So it seems that CD Projekt has spent a massive amount of time, creating a vast variety of styles that will be featured in the campaign. We know a little about the story of the game. The game can be started with three different backgrounds, and in all those starts you end up working for a person. Somehow, you end up in a fight and lose everything. Afterward, the real action in Cyberpunk 2077 begins. I think CD Projekt did a great job with The Witcher 3, and replicating it in Cyberpunk won’t be an issue. Note, that Cyberpunk 2077 has taken years and years of development. It is labeled as one of the most anticipated titles of 2020.
